BOATING AND LIFESTYLE EXPO 2012

Last Weekend the 14th and 15th of April the Cruiser Club hosted the 'Boating and Lifestyle Expo' on the club grounds. The event was a massive success with many postive feedbacks coming back.

The late arrival of the 15th century 'Priate Ship' the Notorious did not stop the crowds from streaming in on Saturday. Hundreds of people walked through the gates to view all the exhibits. There was displays from 40 foot cruisers to Jet Skis and EVERYTHING in between, including Caravans. All of the store holders were very impressed with the layout and the enthusiasm of the local Paynesville People. Many of them stating how they can't wait for next year.

The 5am arrival of the Notorious on Sunday morning brought even bigger crowds to the club. Everyone was very excited and keen to get on board the 15th century replica of a Portuguese warship. Which was built by local Port Fairy couple Graeme and Felicite Wylie, which took the couple 10 years to build. Even after the ship got held up due to lack of wind from its journey from Port Fairy, the tired but still lively crew put on a fantastic show for all those who came to view her.

The weather could not have been more forgiving. The sun was out for the duration of the whole weekend with limited wind and luckily for us no rain!
A huge congratulations must go to all the Cruiser Club committee and members who put in the hard yards all weekend, without your help the weekend would not have flowed as smoothly.
A big Thankyou must go to the crew of the priate ship Notorious for putting on a magnificent show for everyone, it was clearly the main attraction for the Expo.

The biggest Thankyou and Well Done must go towards Leigh Vinnell the event coordinator. Leigh put in hours and hours of hard work to make sure that the weekend went off with flying colours. Your work and time was muchly appreciated.

So even if you didn't make it this year don't worry next years event will be BIGGER and better.
